About
Through small, project-based grants, NC IDEA MICRO awards $10K in funding to startups actively moving their companies forward by validating assumptions and developing a business model. We have found that funding, paired with mentorship and guidance, early in a company’s lifecycle, can make a significant impact on future success.

About
NC IDEA SEED offers early stage companies the critical funding they need to scale faster. Our $50K grants are awarded to innovative startups with a proven concept — even if they are not yet profitable. The funds, along with mentorship and guidance, push companies forward and reduce risk associated with growing startups.

KickStart Awards
About
The KickStart Grant-Awards Program helps early-stage companies meet commercial milestones, either on the technical side (prototype development, animal studies) or on the business side (regulatory pathway, market opportunity).
Requests for proposals (RFAs) are solicited on a quarterly basis from faculty founders. The awards are in the $5,000 to $50,000 range, depending the on the company’s needs.

About
As authorized by NC General Statute § 143B‑437.80, awards reimbursement to qualified NC businesses for a portion of the costs incurred in preparing and submitting Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) proposals to federal agencies.

One North Carolina Small Business Program Matching Funds
About
As authorized by NC General Statute § 143B‑437.81, awards matching funds to NC businesses who have received a federal SBIR or STTR award. The goals are to help NC companies bridge the funding gap period between the final Phase I payment and the first Phase II payment in the Federal Program, and increase the intensity of the research conducted under Phase I, making NC small businesses more competitive in the competition for Phase II funds.

We are dedicating a $2M dollar fund to give roughly 4,000 Wish Local small business partners financial support. The selected recipients will receive amounts between $500 - $2000. This program will only be open to Black-owned stores, to help promote equality and diversity in American business.
